As far as I know they didn't. It's most likely a personal import such as a form member whose name escapes me did. Edit.Tipoboy is the chap I was trying to think of, also Mityrare has/had one.

Mine has Abarth badges on it...
one on the rear and one on each side where the pininfarina ones should be. The last owner put them on and I've decided they will stay for time being due to concern about revealing a stronger yellow underneath!
It bothered me at first but not any more, and to be honest, most people don't even know what the car is never mind whether or not they did an Abarth version.

I thought the comment that it would be 6 more years before it could be exported to the USA was curious. Sounds like a very strict embargo. Why wouldn't you be able to import a car younger than 25 or so years from Canada to the US?

In the US Coupés have not had type approval, and cannot be imported as a "classic" until they are 25 years old
